Hermes hires head of fixed income to develop multi-asset credit vehicle

Jackson, who joins from Cairns Capital, will lead the strategic development of the credit and direct lending investment teams and develop a multi-asset credit vehicle for long-term institutional investors.

He will report to Eoin Murray, head of investment, and will also contribute to business development through the Hermes Strategy Group.

At Cairns Capital Jackson was CIO, head of the investment committee and a senior member of the executive management committee. He was responsible for developing the asset management business, which included designing new products and managing the investment team.

Murray says: “Andrew has extensive in-depth industry knowledge and experience in managing global credit and fixed income products using an active management style.

“Moreover, he has a credible, structured investment process and an excellent investment track record, making him a great fit with Hermes’ long term, active investment style. His appointment underlines the commitment the business has to providing innovative, fixed income solutions to investors currently struggling with a world of low yields.”
