Henderson Global Investors has promoted James Ross to co-manage the €3.9bn Henderson Horizon Pan European Equity fund alongside Tim Stevenson.
Ross has been co-manager on the Henderson UK Alpha fund since January 2013. He joined the firm as a graduate in 2007.
Stevenson has managed the fund since its inception in 2001 and over the period has delivered performance of 162 per cent compared to 88.3 per cent for the index.
Stevenson says he has worked alongside Ross for 10 years and that the pair share a “common investment philosophy”.
“With his help I feel confident we can continue our successful track record of finding good quality growth companies in an increasingly tough market.”
Since taking over management of the UK Alpha fund, alongside co-manager Neil Hermon, Ross has delivered 48 per cent compared to 28.2 per cent in the index.
Hermon will assume lead management of the fund, with immediate effect, while Indriatti van Hien will be promoted to deputy fund manager.
Van Hien has worked alongside Hermon and Ross for the last four years.
