Legal & General has appointed Goldman Sachs’ Paul Miller as group strategy and M&A director, reporting to group chief executive Nigel Wilson.

The newly created role will see Miller “co-ordinate and advance” group-wide strategy, working in collaboration with colleagues across L&G.

He will join the group executive committee upon joining in June.

Miller is currently head of EMEA insurance within the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs International, where he has spent 17 years covering a range of UK and international insurance companies.

L&G group chief executive Wilson says: “Paul brings outstanding and relevant commercial capability and experience to Legal & General, providing leadership to the development and execution of our growth strategy.

“Furthermore his management style fits well with our culture of positive constructive collaboration.”
