GAM has nabbed Owen Job from Soros Fund Management to become fixed income investment manager.
Job will work on its absolute return fixed income team, with particular focus on macro themes.
He joined this week after 12 years at Soros, the company founded by billionaire investor George Soros.
Owen has spent over 12 years in investment management, mainly within the macro strategy space. He joined on 6 November 2017 from Soros Fund Management and is based in London.
Tim Haywood, investment director and business unit head fixed income, says Job will further strengthen our proposition regarding theme generation and positioning across asset classes.
The new hire brings GAM’s absolute return fixed income team to 19 based in London and New York. The team manages $11bn of assets.
