Ex-BNY distribution head joins RWC Partners

General-Business-People-Hire-Appointment-700x450.jpgFormer BNY Mellon co-head of intermediary distribution Gary Tuffield has joined RWC Partners.

Tuffield, who left BNY in August last year after 13 years at the firm, will focus on the UK wholesale market.

RWC Partners head of business development James Tollemache says: “Although we have developed a strong international business, the UK remains our home market and it represents approximately 40 per cent of the assets we are responsible for.

“We have an increasingly broad and competitive range of funds. Our clients are professional investors who rely on clear communication and relationship management carried out to the high standards that are expected today. Gary has earned the trust of clients over many years and reinforces our commitment to the UK.”

RWC Partners has assets under management of $11.7bn (£8.2bn) as of December 2015.

Tuffield was not replaced at BNY where the head of intermediary distribution, Fergus McCarthy, took up the full role.
