Deutsche Asset Management has launched two minimum volatility ETFs today as it tries to position itself as a leader in strategic beta.
The db x-trackers MSCI USA Minimum Volatility UCITS ETF and and the db x-trackers MSCI EMU Minimum Volatility UCITS ETF have exposure to the US and eurozone equity markets and are listed in London and Frankfurt respectively.
They are direct, physical replication funds.
Head of strategic beta Martin Weithofer says: “The expansion and evolution of our strategic beta suite of products this year, and the launch of our new minimum volatility ETFs, places us in a strong position to become the leading provider of strategic beta ETFs in Europe.”
The asset manager now has 28 strategic beta products in its Ucits ETF range, representing almost €5bn assets under management.
