The Odey European fund has suffered a 9.8 per cent drop in July on continued bearish bets.

The loss represents the long-short equities fund’s worst fall since early 2016, Bloomberg reports.

In March last year it dropped 22.4 per cent and finished 2016 down 49.5 per cent.

Fund manager Crispin Odey has been very bearish of late and recently described the market as “drunk”.
