Cohen & Steers has expanded the availability of its Ucits fund range as it continues to expand its European footprint.
The Cohen & Steers’ Global Real Estate Securities, European Real Estate Securities and Global Listed Infrastructure funds are currently registered for sale in a limited set of jurisdictions, including Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
As part of the build-out of its Europe franchise, Cohen & Steers plans to make these funds available to both institutional and wholesale investors in multiple new European markets.
Last month the US-based real assets specialist launched the Cohen & Steers Global Preferred Securities fund to European investors, while a Cohen & Steers commodities fund was launched to institutional investors in January.
Marc Haynes, head of sales and client service for EMEA, says: “Our expansion in Europe coincides with the rapidly growing investor interest in real assets.
“With real assets broadly underrepresented in many investor’s portfolios, our actively managed liquid real assets strategies provide solutions to a growing number of investor needs – whether it be the need for income, portfolio diversification, inflation protection or as an alternative to less-liquid and less-diversified direct property and infrastructure funds.
“Over the past 12 months we have been executing on a strategy to significantly broaden our commitment to Europe.
“The launch of our commodities and preferred securities strategies, which will soon be followed by the registration for sale of our real estate and infrastructure funds in many more countries, are significant developments for our business.”
