Close Brothers assets under management hit £8.2bn

Close Brothers Asset Management has seen its assets under management rise to £8.2bn in the last quarter, compared to £8bn at the start of the period.

In its latest results, its parent company says the macroeconomic outlook remains “uncertain”, but it anticipates a “good outcome” for the year ahead.

It said a strong performance in its banking division and increased trading income from Winterflood got its first quarter of the financial year off to a “very good start”.

Winterflood saw increased investor appetite, particularly in August and September, the results said.
