Close Brothers Asset Management has acquired Eos Wealth Management, which specialises in advising media personalities and professional footballers.

Founded in 2010, Eos currently advises on more than £300m of client assets.

The sum of the acquisition was not disclosed.

Andy Cumming, head of advice at Close Brothers Asset Management, says the acquisition will strengthen its presence in London. “Eos is completely client-focused, chartered, and holds strong professional links,” he says.

Eos co-founder Peter Kelsey, who started the business with Sean Scahill, says it was “important for us to find a buyer who had our clients’ best interests at heart”.

Eos’s professional footballers service prepares clients with advice “structured towards retirement at age 35”. The firm also offers services for families and business owners.

The deal, subject to FCA approval, will see Eos’s 28 staff move to Close Brothers AM.
