The firm, which has $90.6bn in assets under management globally, says the London base will also provide greater access to European companies for Joshua Jones, portfolio manager on the Boston Partners global and international products.

William Pawson, a senior product specialist, will oversee distribution from the London office while Jones will head up the investment team.

Boston Partners’ product range includes value equity, long/short equity, global equity, small and micro cap equity and volatility harvesting strategies. The sub-advised Ucits range has over $14bn in assets under management, as well as $2.2bn in separately managed accounts for European institutional clients.

The firm uses a three-pronged approach to investing, which analyses the valuation, fundamental quality and business momentum of companies.

Jones says: “We’re pleased to announce the official opening of our London office. As clients seek better visibility to understand Boston Partners’ investment edge, our proximity to key European markets will help clients recognise the value of the firm’s tested ‘three-circle’ approach to active management.”
