BMO Global Asset Management has appointed Christine Cantrell as its UK ETF sales director, as it seeks to expand in this space.
Cantrell has worked in ETFs for the last seven years, joining from State Street, where she worked on the UK sales team for its ETF range for two years, and having previously worked in business development for ETF Securities.
Cantrell will report to Rob Thorpe, head of UK wholesale and retail sales.
BMO Global Asset Management launched its first ETFs in October created with MSCI indices to focus on high-yielding shares in Europe, UK or the US.
It currently offers nine products across its range, including four global fixed income ETFs, three European equity income and two US equity income ETFs. The asset manager says there is potential for further launches in the UK market over the next six to nine months.
Ongoing charges range from 0.3 per cent to 0.4 per cent.
