Ben Yearsley has left Wealth Club to focus on non-executive roles, stating the role needed to go to someone who could give it their full commitment.
Yearsley co-founded the investment service with former Hargreaves Lansdown pensions expert Alex Davies.
It specialises in tax advantageous schemes like VCT, EIS, SEIS and IHT portfolios for high net worth individuals.
Yearsley says: “Wealth Club is doing very well and they need someone 100 per cent of the time.
“I have a variety of other non exec type roles, such as director of Shore Financial Planning and on the investment committee for Downing Diversified Global Managers fund, which I enjoy doing; unfortunately something had to give.
“The end of the tax year seemed an ideal time to move on.”
Davies says he funds 100 per cent of the business, which the pair co-founded just over a year ago, and says that with 500 clients they are “starting to dominate the market”.
He says the team is well resourced, but that there could be a “few potential hires on the horizon”.
