Lea will be joined by Jonathan Aldrich-Blake, who is currently investment manager at Ashburton.

The new team will provide analysis for the multi asset strategy and the equity fund range, which includes the Global Leaders Equity fund, as well as the specialist equity range that includes the India, Energy and Chindia funds, which are all managed from Jersey.

Chief investment officer Jonathan Schiessl says Ashburton is “excited” to have been able to recruit Lea to Jersey.

Lea says he has worked in many of the markets that Ashburton specialises in. Previously a global equity research sector head and strategist at UBS, Lea spent eight years working in Asia, including a a period managing a pan-Asian equities portfolio at UBS’s Fundamental Investment Group in Hong Kong.
