Aberdeen’s Duce moves from multi-asset to distribution role

Aberdeen Asset Management continues to boost its distribution team with the appointment of its former multi-manager head Graham Duce as global client senior director.

In December, Aberdeen made a number of hires to strengthen the team following the appointment of Columbia Threadneedle’s Campbell Fleming as global head of distribution.

Fleming says: “Graham was the first appointment I made when I joined Aberdeen. He brings to the distribution team a wealth of product and investment knowledge as well as vital client relationship experience.”

Duce was previously director in Aberdeen’s multi-asset team dealing with the wealth division of portfolio management. Before Aberdeen, Duce was co-head of multi-manager at Credit Suisse from 2002, until it was acquired by Aberdeen in 2009.

Duce’s multi-asset role will be taken on by Simon Wood, head of manager research, and the firm’s six-strong multi-asset team.

Duce says: “The chance to work with Campbell was compelling. Aberdeen has a great global distribution platform and my new role gives me the opportunity to help build on the strong foundations that have been established.”

Other recent hires at the firm include John Campbell as global head of strategic clients and Jeff Klepacki as head of distribution for Americas.

In addition, former chief executive BNP Paribas Investment Partners and FundQuest chief Antony John and Richard Pursglove, who has held senior distribution roles at various firms, joined on a consultancy basis.
