OECD unemployment rate stays stable
The unemployment rate in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) stayed unchanged in November at 8.8%, according to the OECD.
The OECD confirmed Eurostat’s findings last week that unemployment in the eurozone hit double figures in November, rising from 9.9% in October to 10.0%.
American unemployment hit 10% in December according to the OECD, the same figure as recorded in November. Japanese unemployment rose 0.1 percentage points from October to November, to 5.2%.
The unemployment rate in Britain was 7.9% in September, up 0.1 percentage points from October.
