Skandia rings changes to improve performance

Skandia Investment Group has overhauled its UK Best Ideas and UK Strategic Best Ideas funds to improve performance.

Ignis Cartesian’s Andrew Kelly and David Stevenson have been cut, along with Jupiter’s Anthony Nutt and River & Mercantile’s Dan Hanbury. Skandia is also dropping Hanbury from Global Best Ideas.

The managers in the new line-up are Audrey Ryan at Aegon, Jacob de Tusch-Lec at Artemis, George Luckraft at Axa Framlington, Richard Plackett at BlackRock, Luke Kerr at Old Mutual, Richard Buxton at Schroders, and Hector Kilpatrick at SVM. (article continues below)

James Millard, the chief investment officer at SIG, reviewed the line-up following the fund’s “disappointing” relative performance last year.

Meanwhile, Skandia has cut the number of managers in its UK Strategic Best Ideas fund from 10 to seven, with Cazenove’s Tim Russell and Ignis Cartesian’s Andrew Kelly and David Stevenson having their mandates reallocated.
