Cazenove hires manager after Pegrum departure
Cazenove Capital Management has appointed John Warren, a small and mid-cap sell side specialist at UBS, as a fund manager on its UK equity team.
His appointment follows the recent departure of Neil Pegrum, manager of the Cazenove UK Opportunities fund and co-manager of the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic and UK Dynamic Absolute Return, to Soros Fund Management.
“John’s small to mid-cap experience will be invaluable in our stock selection”
Warren will work alongside Paul Marriage on the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic Fund, the Cazenove UK Dynamic Absolute Return Fund, an offshore hedge fund, and the UK Smaller Companies Fund.
He will join the group in September and report to Tim Russell.
Marriage says: “John’s small to mid-cap experience will be invaluable in our stock selection. He has been a consistent idea generator on both the long and short side at UBS and I look forward to working with him from September.” (article continues below)
Prior to working at UBS, Warren worked at Investec Bank, Williams de Broe and HSBC.
